About This Project
Every Project is Unique

This plain, ‘builder-grade’ backyard was never the right solution for this pristine golf course property. Our clients didn’t know exactly what they wanted, but they knew they wanted something special that their neighborhood landscaper wouldn’t be capable of designing and executing. Alderwood Landscaping and Construction was chosen for our professionalism, creativity, and quality of work.

At the request of the couple, the existing patio was preserved and incorporated into the new design. Our team completed saw-cuts along the edges to re-shape the patio, create interest, and make room for planting beds. One major concern we had was drainage: the backyard was essentially a bowl. Alderwood crews installed a large drainage sump in the corner of the back yard and used subsurface drain lines in the lawn areas to eliminate flooding and home foundation saturation. Construction was completed on time and on budget in 7 weeks.

This backyard was transformed from a boring and rarely used space into a diverse entertaining and relaxing area. The new deck staircase offers easy access to the backyard from the second floor. A relaxing soak in the hot tub is underlined by the soothing sounds of the nearby waterfall. These homeowners can enjoy a nice family dinner or host large parties on the newly re-shaped patio and deck. Low voltage lighting adds another level to the sanctuary experience and accents the water feature, plantings, and beautiful pavers.
